Piliv fort is a small fort situated on the slope of Piliv village of Solapur, Maharashtra. It is a hill fort and base village is Piliv.

Places to Visit on Fort:

There are bastions on four corners of the fort and there are narrow windows (Jangyas) in the bastions and the fort wall. After entering from the main door one can find porches built in the door way for the gatekeepers. There is a structure opposite to the main entrance which is in a dilapidated condition. Within this structure on the right corner there is a room which is built below the bastion and has enclosed balconies which is supposed to be used for watch keeping purpose.

Moving back towards the main entrance of the fort one comes across stairs to the left side leading on to the fort wall and further on the bastions. The bastions are of 12 meters spread and there are narrow doors and steps built in. The walls of the bastions have narrow windows and enclosed balconies built in to accommodate cannons. There is a 4 feet long cannon on the middle bastion. There are hardly any traces of other structures and monuments.

From Pune there are ST (State Transport) buses / Volvo buses available to Pandharpur, which is around 207 kms from Pune, from Pandharpur there are buses available to Piliv village, which is 48 kms from Dahiwadi.

Mumbai to Piliv by Bus
From Mumbai there are ST (State Transport) buses, Volvo, local transport available to Pandharpur, which is 358 kms from Mumbai, from Pandharpur there are buses available to Piliv village, which is 48 kms from Dahiwadi.

By Train:-

Pune to Piliv by Train
From Pune junction there is train available to Pandharpur, which is 184 kms from Pune junction.

Mumbai to Piliv by Train
From Mumbai junction there are trains available to Pandharpur, which is 376 kms from Mumbai junction.

By Road:-

Pune to Piliv by Road

Route of Pune to Piliv Fort :- Pune – Hadapsar – Kedgaon – Bhigawan – Indapur – Tembhurni – Pandharpur – Dahieadi – Piliv Village – Piliv Fort.

Mumbai to Piliv by Road
